Vintage Railroad Signal Lantern
Once used to signal trains in railways, these vintage railroad lanterns are a charming and unique addition to your home decor or gift for train lovers! These particular railroad lanterns are called semaphore lamps. They have a single white lens used to illuminate the colored glass filter roundels of a semaphore blade. The train signal could be stop, proceed, or caution/slow based on what color it was.
Each lantern is sturdy and weighs 4 - 4.5 lbs. While these lanterns still have their original parts to burn kerosene, we recommend not lighting these antiques or only using tea lights for safety purposes.
